此外，習近平在視察綏德地委舊址時，重提毛澤東當年為習仲勳題詞的內容。而他所視察的綏德實驗中學，正位於母親齊心當年從事學生工作的綏德師範舊址上。

官媒新華社報導，習近平視察綏德地委舊址中提到，老一輩革命家堅持「黨的利益在第一位」。這句話是毛澤東1943年親手為習仲勳題的詞。

而官媒央視新聞報導，習近平視察的綏德實驗中學，正是在齊心當年工作的綏德師範舊址上成立。

相關的行程安排，可能和中共11月將召開的19屆中央委員會第六次全體會議有關。

據官方之前發布，六中全會的主要議程為「重點研究全面總結黨的百年奮鬥的重大成就和歷史經驗問題」。有評論認為，會議可能會總結中共百年黨史。

一些分析認為，結合黨史和家族經歷的出訪行程，可能在於強調中共百年成就，和習近平「紅色背景」的連繫。
