言歸正傳，Rolls-Royce Haul Truck的發表主要是向業界展示一種新的運輸卡車概念，藉由採用混合動力系統以減少碳排放，他們將V12柴油發動機與電池組搭配，性能保持不變，卻減少二氧化碳排放20%～30%。更棒的是，就像油電巨星Toyota Prius一樣，卡車在下坡時可將能量回收儲存至電池組裡，提供上坡時所需動能，達到省油效益。

因著環保趨勢，勞斯萊斯母集團BMW在追求減排過程中重新思考了汽車生產過程，其中包括礦物開採，畢竟隨電動車市場增長，對稀土金屬的需求亦不斷上揚，勞斯萊斯的概念產品正是實現這雄心勃勃目標的第一步。如此貴氣的勞斯萊斯採礦車讓網友忍不住笑稱，用來挖鑽礦、金礦剛剛好，就不知浮誇的「星空頂篷」有沒有列入選配吼！？
